Recreational use advisory issued for Cullaby Lake Sept. 17
Current status: Status unconfirmed (as of 22/09/2026, 07:41). Older update notes in the history text may be outdated.
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) issued a recreational use health advisory for Cullaby Lake in Clatsop County on September 17, 2026, due to cyanotoxins exceeding recreational use values. Individuals who draw in-home water directly from affected areas of the lake are advised to use an alternative water source for drinking and cooking, as boiling or filtering is ineffective against these toxins. Swimming and other high-risk water activities are also discouraged. Update (Oregon Health Authority, 22.09.2026, 07:41): A recreational use health advisory was issued for Powder Arm of Brownlee Reservoir in Baker County on September 21, 2026.
