Hyde Park boil-water notice remains active

A precautionary boil-water notice remains active for customers of the Hyde Park Regional Water Plant and surrounding districts in Hyde Park. The advisory was issued due to a chlorination-system failure. Residents must boil water for at least one minute, continuing precautions until testing clears the system, which is expected within two to four days. All-clear (hydeparkny.gov, 04.09.2026, 11:30): The boil water advisory has been lifted for customers, including Staatsburg, Zone D (Harbourd Hills), Zone L, Pinebrook Estates, and Jeffery Groves. The advisory was issued on August 30, 2026, and residents should now follow post-advisory flushing steps. Update (News 12 Hudson Valley, 04.09.2026, 13:30): The advisory became effective September 2, 2026. Equipment stopped adding chlorine to water, causing the issue, which has now been corrected. Residents should also use bottled water for drinking and cooking.
