La préfecture de la Moselle a annoncé une pollution localisée des eaux souterraines par des solvants chimiques dans les communes de Mondelange et d’Hagondange, suite à des analyses menées par l’ARS Grand Est. Un arrêté préfectoral du 8 juin 2026 interdit strictement l'utilisation de l'eau des puits privés pour la consommation humaine et d'autres usages domestiques et récréatifs dans ces zones. L'eau du réseau public d'eau potable reste cependant conforme aux exigences sanitaires et peut être utilisée normalement.
