Current status: Lifted (as of 16/09/2026, 12:05). Older update notes in the history text may be outdated.

The Tampa Water Department announced a temporary change in its water disinfection process from Monday, September 14, 2026, to Monday, October 5, 2026. During this period, chlorine will be used instead of monochloramine, which may cause a slight change in the taste or smell of drinking water, though it remains safe. Customers are advised to run taps, let water sit, or use carbon filters to minimize impacts, with special precautions for sensitive individuals and businesses. Update (cleanairandwater.net, 14.09.2026, 23:36): A boil water notice has been issued following a water system event. Residents must not use unboiled tap water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Update (Emerald Coast Utilities Authority, 16.09.2026, 09:25): A precautionary boil water notice now affects approximately 50 customers in the 4501 Whisper Way, Whisper Way, and Baywoods Ln area, due to a loss of water pressure following a planned service outage and restoration by ECUA crews. Residents should boil water for one minute before use while bacteriological sampling is underway. All-clear (cityofdublin.org, 16.09.2026, 12:05): The City of Dublin, Georgia, lifted its Boil Water Advisory on August 20, 2026, after water quality testing confirmed safety standards following a significant water main leak on August 18, 2026. Residents and businesses can now resume normal water use.
