SCHEDULED WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Seminole County Utilities will temporarily interrupt water service for residents on Country Place in Winter Park beginning Tuesday, September 15, for a water main valve replacement. The affected area will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for about two days while water samples are collected and tested. Service is expected to be restored around midnight that same night. Update (Finger Lakes Times, 24.09.2026, 21:30): The advisory affects properties at 4-56 W. Elizabeth St. and 17-38 Center St. in the Village of Waterloo, commencing September 24 due to a water-main break and loss of pressure. Residents must boil tap water for one minute or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food, with the advisory expected to last approximately three days. Update (WZZM 13, 25.09.2026, 00:10): E. coli was detected in a September 18 water sample from Kalamazoo, Michigan. A resulting boil order covers Low- and High-pressure districts, requiring water to be boiled for at least two minutes. Update (City of Valley Center, 30.09.2026, 16:40): A boil water advisory is in effect for the City of Valley Center, awaiting KDHE approval after its supplier Wichita lifted its own advisory on September 17. Water samples were delivered September 18, with the earliest lifting date anticipated September 19. Update (Finger Lakes Times, 03.10.2026, 13:50): The advisory for affected properties in Waterloo is effective from October 1st.
