Tipperary councillor criticises Uisce Éireann over water crisis affecting 11,000 households
Councillor Máirín McGrath criticised Uisce Éireann regarding an ongoing water crisis affecting over 11,000 households in South Tipperary and parts of Waterford. An existing boil water notice was escalated to a Do Not Consume notice on October 9, 2026, due to intermittent high levels of aluminium from the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant. The duration of the restrictions remains unknown, causing frustration among residents and businesses.
