La Doré octroie un mandat pour solutionner le problème de l’eau jaune
La municipalité de La Doré a octroyé un contrat de 11 000 $ à une firme d'ingénierie pour trouver des solutions au problème de l'eau jaunâtre occasionnellement distribuée. Ce problème est apparu suite à la mise en service d'un nouveau puits en novembre dernier, et bien que le maire assure que l'eau reste potable à la consommation, la situation est jugée inacceptable.

La Municipalité de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues a émis un avis d’ébullition pour son réseau de distribution d'eau potable. Des coliformes fécaux et la bactérie E. coli ont été détectés, rendant l'eau non potable sans ébullition préalable d'au moins une minute. Les résidents doivent faire bouillir l'eau avant de la consommer et jeter les glaçons, boissons et aliments préparés après le 5 octobre 2026 avec l'eau non bouillie. North Bay drinking water contaminated with PFAS
The city of North Bay, Ontario, has had elevated levels of PFAS – often called "forever chemicals" – detected in its water supply since 2016. These contaminants were found in the area of the city’s airport, along Lee Creek, and in Trout Lake, impacting the municipal drinking water. A municipal councillor warns that addressing this long-term contamination will require significant decisions and expense from the next city council.

Suite à des réparations sur la conduite principale le lundi 5 octobre 2026, la population est avisée de ne pas boire l'eau du réseau municipal ni de l'utiliser pour la préparation d'aliments ou le brossage de dents. Il est précisé que faire bouillir l’eau ne la rendra peut-être pas propre à la consommation, en attendant les analyses bactériologiques. À Saint-Ferdinand, cette mesure est spécifiquement en vigueur depuis août 2024. Le chef du Parti québécois, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, s'est engagé à investir 85 millions de dollars pour résoudre ces problèmes d'infrastructures d'eau dans la région.
