Rund 14.000 Menschen in Ueckermünde (ohne Berndshof und Bellin), Eggesin, Hoppenwalde, Karpin, Liepgarten, Torgelow-Holländerei (ohne Herrnkamp, Rochow und Zarowmühl) im Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald müssen ihr Trinkwasser abkochen. Bei einer Routinekontrolle wurden Grenzwerte von Enterokokken überschritten, die Unwohlsein und Übelkeit auslösen können. Die Ursache für die Kontamination ist derzeit noch unbekannt. Entwarnung (NDR.de, 27.09.2026, 03:35): Das Gesundheitsamt hob die Abkochanordnung auf, wodurch das Trinkwasser nun auch in Rochow und Zarowmühl wieder ohne Einschränkungen genutzt werden kann. Aktuelle Untersuchungen ergaben keine Enterokokken-Verunreinigungen mehr. Die ursprüngliche Anordnung war am Donnerstag zuvor erlassen worden.
