Update (City of Timmins, 12.09.2026, 21:25): The advisory was jointly issued by the City of Timmins and Northeastern Public Health. Residents are instructed to boil water for at least one minute for drinking, making infant formula, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, or making ice. Update (City of Timmins, 19.09.2026, 13:40): A planned water control test on September 18, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, may cause discoloured water or temporary water loss. Residents should not drink or use discoloured water and are advised to run cold water until clear, avoiding hot water or laundry. Update (City of Timmins, 20.09.2026, 00:05): A scheduled watermain break repair will occur on September 16, 2026 on Murray St. between Hart St. and the Children's Playground in Timmins North. After the work, residents should run the cold water tap closest to the source for 15 to 20 minutes until water color returns to normal.
