Das Wasser ist kein Trinkwasser, und der Landkreis warnt eindringlich vor einem gesundheitlichen Risiko bei Konsum. Die bereits angebrachten Gefahrenhinweise werden von Passanten leider oft ignoriert.

Aufgrund der wiederholten Verkeimungen seit August 2017 ordnete das Landratsamt Rosenheim ein erneutes Abkochgebot und eine Desinfektion des Trinkwassers mittels Chlorung an. Die Gemeinde muss zudem eine dauerhafte Desinfektion des Trinkwassers sicherstellen. W badanej próbce z 15 września 2026 roku stwierdzono 168 µg/l manganu przy wartości parametrycznej do 50 µg/l. Mimo przekroczenia, woda nie stwarza bezpośredniego zagrożenia dla zdrowia i nadaje się do picia oraz innych celów użytkowych, bez zakazu i obowiązku przegotowywania.
